Frequently Asked Questions

What white wines and rosés does Sippify sell?

Sippify stocks Beresford Classic Chardonnay and Classic Rosé from McLaren Vale, the Emblem range of Mediterranean whites — Fiano, Pecorino and Grillo — plus Queen Adelaide Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Moscato, and Katherine Hills Chardonnay.

What are Fiano, Pecorino and Grillo?

They're Italian varieties thriving in South Australia's warming climate. Fiano gives aromatic richness and textural depth — McLaren Vale has grown it for over twenty years since the Lloyd family planted the first vine. Pecorino, named for the sheep that love its grapes, is fresh and vibrant when cool-fermented. Grillo, Sicilian and named for the cricket, has a lively character and a creamy, rich mouthfeel from three days on skins.

How cold should white wine and rosé be served?

Around 8–10°C, which is roughly two hours in the fridge or 20 minutes in an ice bucket. Serving white wine too cold mutes its aromatics — if it's straight from a very cold fridge, let it sit for ten minutes. Rosé follows the same rule. Moscato and other sweeter styles benefit from being a touch colder, at 6–8°C.

What food pairs with rosé?

Rosé is one of the most food-friendly wines there is. It works with charcuterie, salmon, prawns, salads, goat's cheese, roast chicken and most Mediterranean food, and its acidity and light fruit handle mildly spiced dishes better than many whites. Beresford Classic Rosé, with its delicate fruity and floral notes, suits both the table and the aperitif hour.

Can I buy white wine online and have it delivered chilled?

Sippify ships wine at ambient temperature rather than chilled, so allow a couple of hours in the fridge before serving. Sippify delivers Australia-wide (excluding NT and some remote areas), usually dispatching within 1–2 business days. Mixed cases across white, rosé and red are welcome.
