Frequently Asked Questions

What wines does Beresford make?

Beresford Wines produces four tiers from McLaren Vale. The Classic range covers Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, GSM, Rosé and Chardonnay. The Emblem range explores Mediterranean varieties — Fiano, Pecorino, Grillo, Pinot Noir and Old Vine Grenache. The Estate range is single-vineyard Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from Blewitt Springs, and above that sit the Limited Release and Grand Reserve Shiraz. Sippify also stocks the cellar-door-exclusive Angelique Premium Cuvée sparkling.

What is Beresford Classic Shiraz like?

Beresford Classic Shiraz captures the elegance and powerful complexity of McLaren Vale, with vibrant aromas of red fruits evolving into darker blue fruits, complemented by subtle oak complexity. It's medium to full bodied, generous and approachable — ready to drink now with red meat, hard cheeses or a Sunday roast. It's available in both 750ml and 375ml formats.

Where is Beresford Estate and what makes Blewitt Springs special?

Beresford Estate was founded in 1985 by winemaker Rob Dundon and sits at one of McLaren Vale's most elevated points, in the cool Blewitt Springs sub-region of South Australia. Its 28-hectare vineyard was first planted in the 1960s and includes gnarled 60-year-old bush vine Grenache. The Maslin sand over clay soils and cooler elevation give the wines their signature perfume, structure and length.

Which Beresford wine should I cellar?

The Grand Reserve Shiraz is the pinnacle of the range — built from exceptional low-yielding vineyard sites, it has already spent considerable time in bottle and will drink well now or cellar to around 2030. The Limited Release Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon are also structured for the cellar. The Classic and Emblem ranges are made for earlier drinking and are delicious on release.

Can I get Beresford wine delivered in Australia?

Yes. Sippify stocks the Beresford range including Classic, Emblem, Estate, Limited Release and Grand Reserve. Sippify delivers Australia-wide (excluding NT and some remote areas), usually dispatching within 1–2 business days. Mixed cases are welcome, and you can add a personalised gift message at checkout.

Beresford

Elevated McLaren Vale wines from Blewitt Springs

Est.: 1985
Region: McLaren Vale (Blewitt Springs), South Australia

Beresford was founded in 1985, when winemaker Rob Dundon - whose wines have collected some 2,000 medals and 200 trophies worldwide - set out to capture the elegance, powerful complexity and unique essence of McLaren Vale under his own label.

The estate sits at one of the Vale's most elevated points, in the cool sub-region of Blewitt Springs, where vineyards first planted in the 1960s include gnarled sixty-year-old bush vine Grenache growing in Maslin sand over clay. From the approachable Classic range through estate-grown single-vineyard wines to the Grand Reserve Shiraz, every Beresford wine is built on balance and depth.

The Emblem range celebrates the Vale's adventurous side - Fiano, Pecorino and Grillo thriving in the Mediterranean climate, hand-picked in the cool of morning.
