Between the Albert and Logan Rivers, in the shadow of its iconic big red shed, Beenleigh has been turning Queensland cane into rum since 1884 - making it Australia's oldest continuously operating distillery.

The method hasn't wavered: carefully selected molasses from local plantations, fresh rainwater, a proprietary yeast and patient copper pot distillation. The spirit rests in historic kauri pine vats, ex-brandy vats and ex-bourbon casks, emerging as rums layered with caramel, vanilla and spiced oak.

The world has noticed - Beenleigh was named Australian Rum Distillery of the Year at the New York International Spirits Competition in 2023, with its Double Cask crowned Rum of the Year at the Bartender Spirits Awards. One hundred and forty years in, the big red shed is just warming up.
