On the corner of Renmark Avenue and Twenty Third Street stands a distillery with more than a century of stories. Built in 1914 and once home to Australia's first co-operative growers' distillery, the site fell quiet after decades of service - until the family-owned Bickford's Group restored it and, in September 2016, 23rd Street Distillery rose again.

Today its historic twin copper pot stills turn Riverland sunshine into award-winning gin, vodka, whisky, rum and brandy. Local mandarins, roses plucked from Ruston's famous gardens, single-orchard yuzu - the distillers work with what the region grows, and it shows. Each bottle wears artwork from an Australian artist, because craft deserves craft.

Signature Gin has claimed Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition; the whole range carries the same adventurous streak. This is the Riverland, bottled.
